Airseekers Tron new boundary wire-free robot lawn mower crowdfunding soon
The Airseekers Tron, a robotic mulching lawn mower, will soon be available via a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. The device was unveiled at IFA 2023 as a five-camera model with Air Vision technology for a 300° field of vision. This method is used in place of an equivalent like RTK, helping the robot to plan an efficient route and avoid obstacles in your garden. The system also means that boundary or perimeter wires are not required.
The Tron robot mower has a three-part FlowCut process, vacuuming the blades of grass so they stand upright and cutting them to the desired height. The clippings are then cut down in size further and returned to the lawn as mulch to promote healthy soil. You can adjust the mower's settings in the accompanying app, such as the cutting height, and you can also choose for designs to be mowed into your lawn. Other features include an edge-cutting mode, a three-hour runtime and the ability to tackle uneven terrain and slopes with a 65% gradient. Airseekers suggests its smart mower is suitable for an area of around 1.5 hectares (~15,000 m²/161,500 ft²).
The pricing of the device and the launch date of the Airseekers Tron robot lawn mower Kickstarter campaign have yet to be announced. However, the company has suggested that it will begin to ship the product this summer. Plus, Airseekers is looking for beta testers to review the product between March and April; if you want to apply for the beta program, you must complete this form.
