Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra appears in new leak with ROG Phone 8 wireless charging specs
The Zenfone 11 Ultra is due to be unleashed in mid-March 2024. However, more of its specs have seemingly fallen into place via leaks beforehand. This latest tip allegedly confirms a charging option besides USB-C, and also purports to reveal its appearance in advance.
If Asus has hopes for any anticipation or suspense prior to its upcoming flagship smartphone event, they might be in vain as the general consensus is that it will reveal a re-brand of the latest ROG Phone design. Accordingly, the OEM is thought to have given up on the Zenfone series as a compact option in favor of its first Ultra variant.
Its new mugshot on the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) database might confirm that theory, as it looks very like the front panel of the ROG Phone 8. On that note, the first-gen Zenfone Ultra might thus benefit from the highest refresh rate in its industry, as well as 2,500 nits of peak brightness emanating from an AMOLED display.
The new leak also specifies the same wireless charging specs as the ROG Phone 8 series, while others from the TÜV group appear to confirm the same 65W wired solution. Accordingly, it seems that any attempt to make the Zenfone line unique is about to come to an end.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
