Asus is backed to launch what might be its most powerful (and feature-rich) series of Android smartphones in the form of the ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro. Now, a benchmarking website purports to confirm that one or both of these machines will have at least 1 industry-leading spec besides its cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite silicon.

The ROG Phone 8 Pro is a device that is likely to have 16GB of RAM on sites such as Amazon.com - however, it did also have the option of 24GB on its launch. Now, its impending successors are thought to have the same top-end spec on their debut.

The "ASUSAI2501C" - a model number that can correspond to either the ROG Phone 9 or 9 Pro, according to a previous tip - has surfaced to show what it can do with 24GB of RAM as well as the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.

The combination has resulted in Geekbench AI results that range from indifferent to impressive thus far. The "9/9 Pro" also runs Android 15 in its new leak.

All in all, this new leak might provide more evidence that the 9 series might be the first of the Asus flagship line to be touted as 'true AI gaming' smartphones later in November 2024.

However, it does little to hint at how the 9 might differ from the 9 Pro: it is possible that the former might miss out on the new AniMe display that is slated to adorn the rear panel - and play mini-games - in this ROG Phone generation.
