A YouTuber called Dame Tech has put two Android flagships and the top-end iPhone 15 Pro Max against each other on the recently launched Call of Duty Warzone Mobile. The two Android phones that the YouTuber benchmarked were the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro.
Among the two, the latter has showcased impressive performance. As a matter of fact, the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has even beat the iPhone 15 Pro Max in the "high" visual quality settings of the game. It is around 7% faster, with 81.3 average FPS.
On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro Max averaged 75.6 FPS in "high" graphics settings in Call of Duty Warzone Mobile. As for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, it performs worse than Apple's flagship, with 56.7 average FPS in the same visual settings. However, Samsung's phone should've been at the top as it packs an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
It seems that the superior cooling setup of the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro allowed the CPU and Adreno GPU of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to perform better. Speaking of which, even though the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a lower average FPS, its peak temperature during the benchmark was 41 degrees Celsius (105.8 degrees Fahrenheit), the same peak temperature as the competitor. Galaxy S24 Ultra (512 GB curr. $1,269.99 on Amazon) had a little higher, at 43 degrees Celsius (109.4 degrees Fahrenheit).
Another thing to note is that the iPhone 15 Pro Max has an advantage in Call of Duty Warzone Mobile. It can run the game at "peak" visual settings, which is 1.7x higher in resolution than "high." No other Android phone can currently play the game at "peak" graphics settings. You can get a better idea of the benchmark by watching the video attached below.
