Xiaomi to bring Xiaomi 14 Ultra camera features to Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Ultra via new update
It seems that Xiaomi's AISP system is not necessarily a Xiaomi 14 Ultra exclusive, after all. Much was made of AISP leading up to the device's launch, with its 60 TOPS of AI performance seemingly requiring a dedicated coprocessor to operate. However, Xiaomi has since given the impression that this is not the case.
Specifically, during its recent launch of the CIVI 4 Pro, the company revealed that it had managed to port its AISP algorithm to some older devices. On the one hand, Xiaomi hopes to bring its AISP system to other current-generation flagships like the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. Arguably, AISP's proliferation to these pair should come as no surprise, considering that they both rely on the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset as the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
On the other hand, AISP will also soon be gracing the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, with which the Xiaomi 14 Ultra shares fewer components. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not yet shared specifics other than AISP, which will begin reaching additional devices in China next month. Thus, it remains to be seen when an equivalent update will arrive in other markets, and whether all of AISP's features like Master Portrait, Ultra Zoom or portrait shot refinements will be available outside China either.
