DJI reveals launch date for RS 4 and RS 4 Pro camera gimbals
DJI has confirmed the details of another product launch event. For context, the company started teasing the release of a new drone yesterday, which is believed to be the Avata 2. Since then, several leakers have shared product specifications for the upcoming FPV drone, as well as alleged pricing for the drone itself and its accompanying accessory packages. While it was assumed that the Avata 2 would be DJI's next product release, it turns out this is not the case.
Instead, the company has now revealed plans to introduce a new Ronin-branded product a few days prior. Specifically, DJI has informed email subscribers that it will host a 'Focus on the Vision' event on April 9, just two days before the launch of the Avata 2. For reference, the event is scheduled to begin at 13:00 UTC, presumably with a live stream option offered on the day.
However, DJI tends to begin selling new products before the end of its launch events. Thus, the device pictured above and below will likely be orderable from 13:00 UTC on April 9, too. Based on recent leaks, the device will launch as the RS 4 camera gimbal series. Although many specifications and official product images have not surfaced yet, the series is reputed to be arriving as the RS 4 and RS 4 Pro. Supposedly, the pair will retain their predecessor's battery capacities though at 21.6 Wh and 30.03 Wh, respectively.
