DJI Avata 2 pricing and specifications revealed in new pre-release leak
Less than a day has passed since DJI confirmed the launch date for its next drone. While the company wishes to keep details about the device under wraps, there have been numerous leaks in which the drone and its first-party accessories have been pictured. Ultimately, these leaks did not provide any tangible specifications or pricing, although they did outline that the drone would launch as the Avata 2.
Now, Igor Bogdanov and Roland Quandt have filled in the gaps with a new round of leaks. On the one hand, the pair have shared a host of promotional images, which we have embedded below. Not only do these show the Avata 2 again, but they also show accessories like the Goggles 3, RC Motion 3 and Remote Control 3.
On the other hand, they highlight several specifications, including a 23-minute runtime on a single battery. Additionally, it appears the Avata 2 will be agile enough to perform flip, roll and 180-degree drift manoeuvres, too, all of which escaped the original Avata. Reportedly, the Avata 2 will start at CNY 2,988 (~$413) in China but CNY 5,988 (~$828) and CNY 6,988 (~$966) with Fly More Combo packages that have one and three additional batteries, respectively. DJI will present the Avata 2 on April 11, two days after the release of new gimbal camera hardware.
