The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 LTE and TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra LTE smartwatches are finally being updated to Wear OS 3. The software release was announced on Facebook, and an employee provided a phased rollout schedule (pictured below) between April 3rd and April 10th.
Mobvoi announced earlier this year that these models would receive Wear OS 3 only once the other non-LTE versions had been updated. Then, in January, the company reached out to users of the TicWatch Pro 3 LTE and TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra LTE to help them test the new software. Now, the update is rolling out publicly to all smartwatches, with improvements for the user interface and health-tracking tools. It is worth noting that some features like Voicememo, TicHearing, Google Assistant and Google Maps are not available post-update. However, it is expected that the latest software will improve the battery life of the wearables.
As for other smartwatches, Mobvoi shared a how-to guide to help iOS and Android users update their TicWatch Pro 3 LTE and TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra LTE devices. The process involves checking that you have the right software on your phone, installing the Mobvoi Health or Health Copilot app, and erasing the watch. Other models, including the TicWatch E3, TicWatch Pro 3 GPS and TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS, are also receiving new updates.
