Polar Grit X2 Pro smartwatch now shipping as new firmware lands
The Polar Grit X2 Pro smartwatch is finally shipping. In an email to customers who had pre-ordered the recently launched wearable, the company previously said that shipping had been delayed until 8th-12th April because the firmware was “still in the final stages of finalization”.
The software, version 2.0.19, has now been released, with several customers noting on Reddit that they had received shipment confirmation in countries like Germany. The Polar websites in the Netherlands and France also suggest that shipping is underway, with an estimated delivery time for new customers of 1-3 working days.
Firmware 2.0.19 adds vertical speed, VAM, and 3D speed outdoor training metrics to the Polar Grit X2 Pro smartwatch, which provides more advanced insights into workouts like trail running, cycling, and climbing. For navigation, there is a new Breadcrumb Trails feature, you can access maps when you are not training, and routes are now synced across from Strava or Komoot. Plus, the software brings new watch face styles, improves the accuracy of optical heart rate data, and fixes many bugs. You can find the complete change log for the update below, with the firmware available to download via the Flow app or FlowSync on your desktop. This release is also rolling out to the Polar Vantage V3 watch.
