DJI's next compact drone will be with us in a few hours' time, with the company lining up a Mini 3 Pro replacement. In the meantime, Roland Quandt and Igor Bogdanov have shared datasheets for the sub-249 g drone, which will launch as the Mini 4 Pro. For reference, both recently leaked various Mini 4 Pro promotional images, covered separately.
As expected, DJI will include a smaller battery with the Mini 4 Pro in markets like the EU and UK to maintain Class 0, the aircraft class with the fewest pilot conditions. Thus, DJI will advertise the Mini 4 Pro as having up to 34 flight times in the EU and UK but 45 minutes in North America. It seems that DJI will avoid selling its larger Intelligent Flight Battery Plus battery in the EU, too.
Based on the screenshots above and below, the Mini 4 Pro improves upon its predecessors in a few areas, including obstacle avoidance. Additionally, DJI's new compact drone will be able to shoot 4K/60 FPS footage with HDR enabled, as well as 4K/100 FPS for slow-motion shots. Moreover, DJI's implementation of OcuSync 4 means that the drone will also be able to transmit 1080p/60 FPS footage from up to 20 km away.
Surprisingly, Bogdanov has even got his hands on a full Mini 4 Pro unboxing video. As far as we can tell, the tweet is the first video of the Mini 4 Pro, seen in its most expensive Fly More Combo package. Please see the images below for full details about DJI's forthcoming drone, which is rumoured to start at €799 in the EU but €1,129 for its Fly More Combo and DJI RC 2 package.
