DJI Osmo Mobile 7 and Pocket 3 emerge before potential autumn releases
The fact that DJI is preparing to replace the Mini 3 Pro soon is well established at this point, with another hands-on leak further reinforcing this notion. However, @quadro_news has determined that DJI is also developing newer versions of the Osmo Mobile 6 and Pocket 2, its smartphone gimbal and handheld camera, respectively. For now, DJI has not begun teasing any of the above, despite the volume of recent Mini 4 Pro-related leaks.
According to @quadro_news, DJI has added references to the Osmo Mobile 7 and Pocket 3 within its app. Embedded below, the strings do not reveal any details about the unreleased devices themselves. Their inclusion within app code implies that DJI is making the final touches to its infrastructure before publicly releasing the pair.
Moreover, the same leaker has published a photo of what could be the Pocket 3. Purportedly obtained by a fan, the image suggests that DJI is already showcasing the camera in some circles. Currently, it remains unclear how DJI will differentiate the Osmo Mobile 7 and Pocket 3 from their predecessors. With that said, previous releases suggest that DJI could be liming up the pair for an autumn launch, potentially alongside the Mini 4 Pro.
