DJI Mini 4 Pro: New pictures of upcoming 249 g drone leak with DJI RC 2 remote controller
It seems that DJI is moving towards the end of its development process for a new Mini-branded drone. Despite not confirming the existence of a Mini 3 Pro successor yet, there have been increasing indications that a new model is being prepared. To recap, leaker @quadro_news recently shared European pricing for several Mini 4 Pro SKUs, which we have covered separately.
Subsequently, the same Twitter account published hands-on photos of the Mini 4 Pro with an RC 2 remote controller. While the authenticity of either photo has not been verified, @quadro_news and its equivalents tend to obtain these leaks from Chinese social media. For reference, DJI has already released the RC 2. However, its usage with the Mini 4 Pro confirms that the drone will support OcuSync 4.0 image transmission, unlike the Mini 3 Pro.
First introduced with the DJI Air 3, OcuSync 4.0 extends image transmission to a theoretical 20 km maximum at a 1080p peak resolution. Moreover, the Mini 4 Pro will have 360-degree obstacle detection, denoted by its altered sensors. Also, the Mini 4 Pro is expected to support HDR video and slow-motion video recordings at up to 4K and 100 FPS. Unfortunately, a release date remains a mystery for now, although the appearance of hands-on photos suggests DJI is close to announcing the start of the Mini 4 series.
