DJI has now introduced the Mini 4 Pro, another sub 249 g drone that complies with the EU's C0 drone regulations. As expected, the Mini 4 Pro relies on a single camera system, which appears to be the same one used in the Mini 3, Mini 3 Pro and Air 3. Thus, the Mini 4 Pro has a 48 MP primary camera based around a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with a 24 mm equivalent focal length and an f/1.7 aperture.
With that said, the Mini 4 Pro can shoot videos at up to 4K/60 FPS or 4K/100 FPS for capturing slow-motion footage. DJI states that the Mini 4 Pro also offers true vertical shooting and omnidirectional obstacle sensing, mirroring its heavier drones. Additionally, the the latest Mini drone adds ActiveTrack 360° and HDR, while maintaining support for D-Log M, Hyperlapse, Panorama, QuickShots, MasterShots and Night Shots Video camera modes.
Moreover, the Mini 4 Pro is OcuSync 4 (O4) compatible, like the Air 3 and Mavic 3 Pro, an upgrade over the O3 technology that the Mini 3 Pro supports. As a result, the Mini 4 Pro can transmit videos at 1080p from up to 20 km away, but only 8 km in Europe. Similarly, DJI's latest Mini drone has a 34-minute default flight time that can be extended to 45 minutes with the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, albeit not in the EU.
The Mini 4 Pro will start at €799 with an RC-N2 remote controller. Alternatively, DJI sells the new drone with an RC 2 remote controller for €999 or with the Fly More Combo, which also includes the RC remote controller, for €1,129. For reference, the Fly More Combo adds two more batteries, two additional pairs of propellers, a shoulder bag and a charging hub. Please see DJI's website for more details.
