DJI Mini 2 SE arrives for US$369 or US$519 with Fly More Combo
DJI has silently rolled out the Mini 2 SE, a drone it makes no mention of on its social media channels or its website. In fact, the company's website currently lists the Mini 2 SE as being unavailable in any region at the time of writing. Potentially, DJI did not mean to make the Mini 2 SE public just yet.
Launch gremlins aside, the Mini 2 SE measures 245 x 289 x 56 mm with its propellers unfolded and weighs 246 g. Additionally, the drone is capable of flying at 16 m/s with no wind and offers up to 31-minute flight times from its 2,250 mAh battery. Moreover, the Mini 2 SE can ascend at up to 5 m/s, which drops 3.5 m/s when descending.
As expected, the Mini 2 SE can record videos in up to 2.7K at 30 FPS, distinguishing it from the 4K-capable Mini 3. For reference, the Mini 2 SE ships with a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor that shoots in 12 MP with a 24 mm equivalent focal length, an f/2.8 aperture and an 83° FOV. Furthermore, the drone offers video transmission via OcuSync 2.0 at 8 Mbps and has a 10 km maximum transmission distance.
DJI will begin shipping the Mini 2 SE on March 22. The drone will be available for US$369 on its own or US$519 with a Fly More Combo. Please see DJI's website for more details and comparisons between the company's other drones.
