More leaks about the Mavic 3 Pro have emerged online ahead of the device's release. Last week, several leakers shared promotional shots of the forthcoming drone, as well as a hands-on photo of retail packaging. Now, the same leakers have provided hands-on photos with DJI's next drone, confirming that the company will ship it with an additional telephoto camera compared to the Mavic 3.
As the images below show, the Mavic 3 Pro contain a second telephoto camera, with 1x through 7x zoom possible. According to the likes of Jasper Ellens, the new camera will allow the Mavic 3 Pro to deliver 3x optical zoom, which is rumoured to correspond to a 70-75 mm equivalent focal length. Evidently, the Mavic 3 Pro will lack an ultra-wide-angle sensor though; the Mavic 3 also supports 7x digital zoom.
Additionally, DJI will offer ND filers for each camera, which will snap over the Mavic 3 Pro's pre-installed lenses. Pricing and a release date remain a mystery for now. With the Inspire 3 due on April 13, it seems unlikely that the Mavic 3 Pro will launch this month. Instead, a mid-May announcement has been touted, presumably with a short teaser campaign ahead of time.
