The launch of a Pocket 2 successor is a few hours away, with DJI having scheduled a 'For Moving Moments' event at 13:00 EDT. Nonetheless, leakers @MysteryLupin and @Quadro_News have shared even more details about the Osmo Pocket 3 online, following the latter's extensive coverage of the new action camera. Like last week, @Quadro_News has gone on something of a leaking spree with nearly a dozen Osmo Pocket 3-related posts since yesterday.
Most recently, @Quadro_News has shared what appears to be an official promotional video, which we have embedded below. Additionally, the leaker has provided various promotional descriptions in which DJI highlights many of the changes from the three-year-old Pocket 2. For example, the Osmo Pocket 3 can automatically detect faces and supports dynamic framing, which DJI has designed to track an object's movements while maintaining a golden ratio composition.
Moreover, DJI has integrated Active Track 6.0 technology, as well as 3-axis stabilisation and a 1-inch CMOS sensor. Also, DJI states that the Osmo Pocket 3 can shoot slow-motion videos in 4K at 120 FPS and can keep recording for well over 2 hours with video quality reduced to 1080p and 24 FPS. Currently, DJI is expected to price the Osmo Pocket 3 at just over US$500, with the Creator Combo likely retailing for another US$150 more than the handheld camera itself.
????Well, just to get you excited. I'm only going to show a short part of the video. DJI, as always, is on top of its game. Osmo Pocket 3 is the best pocket camera and a worthy replacement for Pocket 2. #dji #djipocket3 #osmopocket3 pic.twitter.com/0aPUqnA5Jf
