Igor Bogdanov has now shared full product specifications for the Osmo Pocket 3, a day or so after leaking over 30 photos of DJI's next handheld camera and its launch accessories. As earlier rumours suggested, the Osmo Pocket 3 should serve as a worthy successor to the Pocket 2. Arguably, the three-year gap between generations implies that DJI waited to bring enough new or improved features to warrant a new model.
Specifically, the specification sheet linked below outlines that DJI has equipped the new Pocket with a 1-inch CMOS sensor. By contrast, makes do with a smaller 1/1.7-inch sensor, which also outputs at 64 MP. Additionally, the diminutive camera is said to master 4K footage or 3K (3,072 x 3,072) when shooting in a 1:1 aspect ratio. Moreover, the large CMOS sensor should output natively at 20 MP with an f/2.0 aperture and a 1/8000-1 second shutter speed.
Also, the same specification sheet reveals a few display details, with DJI opting for a larger rotating panel this time around. Still, the display spans just 2-inches, with the camera itself coming at 139.7 x 42.2 x 33.5 mm. Supposedly, the display has a mere 556 x 314-pixel resolution, as well as a peak brightness of 700 nits. Meanwhile, Bogdanov has also published a series of short unboxing videos, in which a retail version of the Osmo Pocket 3 can be seen. DJI is expected to unveil its Pocket 2 follow-up on October 25, with Bogdanov adding that the Osmo Pocket 3 will start at US$531 or US$676 for a Creator Combo.
