DJI has now confirmed its intentions to release a new product. As always, the company has not confirmed the name of its next device. However, a slew of recent leaks by Igor Bogdanov has provided a clear clue of DJI's intentions.
As expected, DJI will not use its next hardware launch event to showcase another drone. Incidentally, the company has released numerous drones this year, with the Mini 4 Pro being the most recent of the bunch. Instead, DJI has teased a device with a single camera set-up. While the video below does not show too many details about the unnamed device, a photo on its website confirms that it has mounted the single camera to a gimbal of sorts.
Based on various leaks, the device in question is the Osmo Pocket 3, a successor to the ageing Pocket 2. Reportedly, the handheld camera will launch with a 1-inch camera sensor and a built-in rotating display. DJI will commence its 'For Moving Moments' launch event at 13:00 UTC on October 25. Pricing has not leaked yet, although DJI tends to open pre-orders the same day as its launch events.
