DJI Osmo Pocket 3 rumoured to launch with 1-inch camera sensor and rotating display
Igor Bogdanov has leaked new details about the successor to the DJI Pocket 2. Having shared a few shots of the camera earlier this month, the leaker has now uploaded a short video of the camera in use, as well as a specifications list written in Chinese. For reference, we used machine translation to produce the second image embedded below.
As earlier information suggested, DJI will release a Pocket 2 follow-up as the Osmo Pocket 3. Not only has DJI changed its product naming scheme between generations, but it has also swapped a 1/1.7-inch sensor for a larger 1-inch equivalent. Additionally, the Osmo Pocket 3 will support 10-bit D-Log M colour mode like some of DJI's drones, including the Mavic 3.
Moreover, the upcoming camera has a small display too that can be rotated, the motion of which serves as a shortcut to begin a video recording. The same product description states that the display will allow you to adjust camera parameters on the fly or switch between horizontal and vertical shooting modes. Furthermore, the Osmo Pocket 3 has three microphones on board for capturing stereo audio and minimising wind noise, among other uses. Unfortunately, a release date remains unknown for now, as does pricing and availability.
