The HOVERAir X1 was known as the Hover X1 on Indiegogo, where it raised nearly US$2 million by the time its campaign ended. Now, the "pocket-sized flying camera" has gone to retail, albeit not at the same early-bird prices. Then again, it has a US$100 introductory discount on its new sales platform for a limited time.

Zero Zero Robotics has now chosen to market its innovative super-compact camera drone as the HOVERAir X1, as opposed to the Hover X1 name from its crowdfunding campaign. Nevertheless, the gadget's new retail units still have the up-to-2.7K/30fps recording spec and "3-Second Palm Take-off" feature.

They also still pack the same Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO) and ToF technology rated to support reliable indoor flight on the HOVERAir X1 in place of GPS technology. The drone can also be set to fly automatically or be controlled manually via its app for the flight path that results in the most "cinematic" shots.

Despite all that "cutting-edge" technology, it comes in at just 125 grams (g) and, thus, "does not require registration to fly across most of the US". Each HOVERAir X1 sold via Amazon comes bundled with 2 batteries and an external charger for the same.

The package has a recommended price of US$479 - however, Zero Zero has provided an on-page coupon for US$100 off this price. It is valid from now until October 15, 2023 and can be used on either the black or white version of the pocket-sized drone.
