Xiaomi is already having a busy year when it comes to expanding its POCO product stack. To recap, the company kicked off 2024 by presenting the POCO M6 Pro 4G, POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro. More recently, it announced the POCO X6 Neo, which serves as a re-branded Redmi Note 13R Pro outside China.
In a similar vein, Xiaomi has introduced the POCO C61 in India. While the smartphone may seem entirely new at first glance, it is a Redmi A3 by another name. Thus, the POCO C61 combines a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. Additionally, Xiaomi includes a 5,000 mAh battery, as well as a 90 Hz display that outputs at 720p and measures 6.71-inches across.
Moreover, the POCO C61 integrates 5 MP front-facing, 8 MP primary and 0.8 MP auxiliary cameras. On top of that, the device boasts Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coverage, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and Android 14 out of the box. Currently, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether it intends to sell the POCO C61 globally. For reference, the device will start at INR 7,499 (~$90) in Diamond Dust Black, Ethereal Blue and Mystical Green colour options.
