Leakers have now detailed what Galaxy AI features will not be coming to Samsung flagships like the Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold5. The release date for older devices has also surfaced, with Samsung reportedly still on track for a March rollout.

Various sources have offered insights into the whereabouts of One UI 6.1 for non-Galaxy S24 series models. For reference, One UI 6.1 debuted in January on the likes of the Galaxy S24 Ultra (curr. $1,149.99 on Amazon). Subsequently, Samsung claimed that One UI 6.1 would begin reaching the following devices at the end of March:

  • Galaxy S23 FE
  • Galaxy S23
  • Galaxy S23 Plus
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab S9
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Plus
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold5
  • Galaxy Z Flip5

Supposedly, not all of Samsung's new One UI 6.1 features will be available across non Galaxy S24 series devices, though. For context, Samsung remained rather vague in last month's press release, adding that only the Galaxy S23 FE would be ineligible for Instant Slow-Mo. Based on the sleuthing of @UniverseIce, flagships like the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be ineligible for full-screen always-on display and Super HDR photos, among other omissions. The same goes for the Galaxy Z Fold5, which shares its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset with the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

For some reason, Samsung has not shared a full One UI 6.1 rollout schedule since, despite that release window now rapidly closing. According to @tarunvats33, Samsung has notified some Galaxy S23 series in China that a new update will be landing on March 28. Likewise, Samsung has communicated the same date to its Korean-language Community members.
