Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra rumoured to receive new camera improvements through next global software update

Roughly a month has passed since Samsung delivered new camera features and improvements to the Galaxy S24 series, including the range-topping Galaxy S24 Ultra (curr. $1,149 on Amazon). For reference, Samsung distributed the update as S92xBXXU1AXB5, full details of which we have covered separately. Nonetheless, Samsung has more camera optimisations planned for a future update.

According to @UniverseIce, the company has earmarked April as the month when it will roll out more camera improvements. By contrast, this month's update only brought the Galaxy S24 series up to the March 2024 set of security patches; please see Google's latest Android Security Bulletin for the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) that this month's security patches address.

Reportedly, Samsung is working towards improving the image quality that the Galaxy S24 Ultra can deliver when using its 5x telephoto camera. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen what, if any, refinements the company has in store for the 3x telephoto cameras that all Galaxy S24 series models possess. With that being said, the same update is said to address outstanding white balance issues, although full details about this change remain unknown for now.
