Acer released the refreshed Aspire 5 A515-58M just a few months ago, yet it can already be had at a decent discount on Newegg in a couple of configurations. The lower-end one comes with an Intel Core i5-1335U (2 P- and 8 E-cores) and costs $459.99 (34% off MSRP), while the version with a Core i7-1355U will set you back $539.99 (32% off).
Otherwise, the two variants have identical specs, including 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 512 GB PCIe SSD. The IPS screen measures 15.6 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, although the refresh rate is limited to just 60 Hz.
In terms of connectivity, you'll get two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, one USB-C (Thunderbolt 4, USB4 40 Gbps, DisplayPort Alt Mode, 15 W Power Delivery), a full-size HDMI, and a 3.5 mm headphone/microphone combo jack. In addition, the Aspire 5 arrives with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 support.
The notebook's body measures 14.3 x 9.4 x 0.7 inches (363 x 239 x 18 mm) and weighs 3.97 lbs (1.8 kg), while its 50 Wh battery can charge at up to 65 W through the DC-in port. Other features include a Full HD webcam, a backlit keyboard with a numpad, as well as a fingerprint reader.
