HP has updated its USB-C Travel Hub, which is now on its third-generation. In short, the HP USB-C Travel Hub G3 mirrors the connectivity options of the USB-C Slim Travel Dock that Lenovo unveiled last month at MWC 2024 in Barcelona. Unfortunately, HP's new accessory lacks the MicroSD and SD card slots that Lenovo includes in the USB-C Slim Travel Dock.
With that being said, the HP USB-C Travel Hub G3 is 22% cheaper than its Lenovo rival at $69.99. Still, HP equips the former with five ports, including two USB Type-C ports that support 10 Gbps throughput each. Additionally, the USB Type-C dock contains two USB Type-A ports, also rated to 10 Gbps, plus a single full-sized HDMI port that outputs at up to 4K and 60 Hz.
Moreover, the USB-C Travel Hub G3 can recharge a connected device at up to 65 W with 20V/3.25A, 5V/1A, 9V/1.33A, 10V/3A, 12V/3.33A, 15V/3A, 15V/3.67A Power Delivery (PD) profiles supported. However, the dock requires a 90 W power supply to do so, which HP does not bundle with USB-C Travel Hub G3 orders. Please see HP's website for more details.
