Lenovo has shared details for the USB-C Slim Travel Dock, an accessory that it has showcased at MWC 2024 alongside other devices like the ThinkPad T16 Gen 3 and Transparent Display Laptop. For context, the USB-C Slim Travel Dock differs from the USB-C Dual Display Travel Dock, another accessory that it presented in mid-December 2023. Please see our dedicated launch article for more details about the USB-C Dual Display Travel Dock.
As for the USB-C Slim Travel Dock, Lenovo can power devices at up to 65 W via the USB Power Delivery 3.0, unlike the 100 W that the USB-C Dual Display Travel Dock provides. With that being said, the USB-C Slim Travel Dock requires an input power of at least 90 W. Additionally, the dock can output to an external display at up to 3,840 x 2,160 (4K) and 60 Hz through its sole HDMI port. For reference, the dock contains the following ports:
- 1x HDMI
- 1x SD card slot
- 1x MicroSD card slot
- 2x USB Type-A (10 Gbps)
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gbps)
Moreover, Lenovo has confirmed that the USB-C Slim Travel Dock weighs just 108 g and measures 140 x 55 x 10.8 mm. Currently, the company hopes to begin selling the dock next month for $89.99, presumably alongside the more expensive USB-C Dual Display Travel Dock. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
