Doublepoint has come to Barcelona to announce that WowMouse has upgraded to support for the Pixel Watch 2. The app is rated to turn a user's smartwatch hand into a "mouse" thanks to its support for Wear OS, and, thus, to add a new, touch-free level of control over PCs, mobile devices or VR/AR headsets.

Doublepoint has built up 30,000 downloads since the demonstration of its app on the Samsung Galaxy Watch4- to 6-series smartwatches at CES 2024.

Now, it is confident of building on that user-base for WowMouse (available free on the Play Store) by expanding its support to the Pixel Watch 2 (currently available for $244 on Amazon).

WowMouse is thus rated to confer an "effortless" Minority Report effect on a user's paired devices, delivered via gestures along the lines of Apple's Double Tap, with added "intuitive" use of a watch's crown (if available) for actions such as scrolling.

Doublepoint asserts that it works on any display capable of maintaining "seamless Bluetooth connectivity" - thereby including headgear as well as laptops, smartphones or tablets.

Furthermore, the company has also launched its "Evaluation Kit" for developers and OEMs at MWC 2024, rated to integrate its "transformative gesture detection algorithm" into future (or existing) wearables.

Accordingly, more smartwatches, the OnePlus Watch that has finally adopted Wear OS 4 in its second generation included, might also be capable of this futuristic device interface in time.
