New Lenovo Legion flagship Android tablet shown before global release
It appears that Lenovo will soon begin selling the Legion Y700 (2023) globally, albeit under a different name. Currently, the company has not officially commented on a global release yet. However, it has listed the tablet as the Legion Tab on its Product Specifications Reference (PSREF) database with Greek, South Korean, Spanish, Swedish, UK, and Ukrainian variants.
To recap, the Legion Y700 (2023) arrived towards the end of July 2023 with a few upgrades over the model of the same name that debuted over a year earlier. As the specification sheet below shows, the Legion Tab relies upon a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, a 6,550 mAh battery and a 144 Hz display that measures 8.8-inches across, just like the Legion Y700 (2023). In another similarity with the Legion Y700 (2023), the Legion Tab will ship running Android 13 (ZUI 15) with the promise of Android 14, Android 15 and security updates until 2028.
Moreover, it is worth noting that while Lenovo states that the Legion Tab will ship with a 68 W power adapter in 'selected countries', it is only capable of recharging its 6,500 mAh battery at up to 45 W. Incidentally, it seemed in early 2023 that that the original Legion Y700 would launch globally. However, nothing ever came of the tablet's appearance on various regional Lenovo websites. Unfortunately, it is unclear at this stage when the Legion Tab will be available, although the plethora of information on PSREF suggests that Lenovo will actually release the current Legion Y700 outside China this time around.
