Eufy S1 Pro robot vacuum with unusual mopping technology launching soon

The S1 Pro uses a roller mop rather than the rotating pads seen in other models, with the dirty water “removed in real time” and replaced with fresh water from the onboard tank. A self-cleaning docking station appears to be able to wash and dry the mop and empty the onboard dustbin and dirty water tank. Another hygiene feature is Eco-Clean Ozone, which Eufy suggests sterilizes during each cleaning job. Controls are offered via a touch panel on the docking station and presumably via the EufyHome app. Plus, thanks to the ‘hidden’ LiDAR navigation unit, the robot is just 96 mm (~3.8-in) tall, meaning it can easily fit under furniture. Other features include 3D MatrixEye Depth Perception obstacle avoidance and vacuuming, though the suction power is not given.

The Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the Eufy S1 Pro floor washing robot will launch on March 28th. The price given for the smart home gadget is $699.99/£749.00/€799.00. According to the brand’s website, customers who sign up to the email list can receive a 40% discount on this price and perks like a bonus accessory kit worth $199.99/£199.99/€199.99, an additional year’s warranty and priority shipping.
