A well-known standards organisation has revealed ASUS intentions to refresh its VivoWatch series. Likely launching later this year, the VivoWatch 6 will be the first new VivoWatch smartwatch since late 2022.

It has been a while since ASUS refreshed its VivoWatch series. While the company regularly refreshes its countless product lines, the VivoWatch 5 Aero remains the most VivoWatch member, despite debuting in August 2022 before a late 2022 release. Now, the likes of Gizmochina have identified that a sixth-generation smartwatch with the model number HC-D06 is under development.

Just like its direct predecessor, the VivoWatch 6 has been spotted first at the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), evidence of which we have embedded below. As always, the Bluetooth SIG does not reveal too many details about a device. Instead, the listing highlights that the VivoWatch 6 supports Bluetooth 5.0 rather than newer iterations like Bluetooth 5.3.

Thus, it is unclear at this stage how ASUS will distinguish the VivoWatch 6 from the older VivoWatch 5 (curr. $149.99). With that being said, we would expect the former to build on the latter's feature set, which includes Google Fit and Apple Health integration. Additionally, the VivoWatch 5 integrates ECG and PPG sensors with support for pulse-transit time (PTT) measurements, among other features.
