Rollme has launched a new smart ring, the R2, which is shipping to countries around the world. The wearable has many similarities to the recently launched Rollme R1 Health Smart Ring. While the R2 is a relatively cheap model, there are a few points that you might consider before making a purchase.
The Rollme R2 is said to have various health tracking features for metrics like heart rate, SpO2 and sleep, with results viewable in an accompanying app. However, the accuracy of these sensors is unclear. While the R2 does not have the temperature monitoring tool like the R1, it gains a remote camera control tool for your smartphone. Other alleged features include various sports modes and step counting. The product page claims that the R2 has a longer battery life than the R1, lasting up to 10 days with typical use or 60 days in standby mode. It is hard to judge whether this is a reasonable estimate without testing the ring, given that models like the Oura Ring only last for seven days. Like its predecessor, the smart ring wirelessly recharges in a charging case.
The wearable is offered in six sizes from 7 to 12, weighing around 2.9 g (~0.1 oz), an you can choose between three colors: Champagne Gold, Pearl White and Premium Black. The Rollme R2 Health Smart Ring is available on the company’s website for $89.99. Before making a purchase, it is worth noting that the company does not provide a return address on its website. However, a contact address, mobile number and email are provided. You may want to review an alternative product like the Ultrahuman Ring AIR, which costs $349 at Amazon.
