Amazfit announces update with new tools for several smartwatches
Amazfit is rolling out updates to the T-Rex Ultra, Falcon, Cheetah Pro, Cheetah Square and Cheetah Round smartwatches. The software was announced by the company via its Facebook community. This does not appear to be the update to ZeppOS 3.5, which is scheduled to arrive for these wearables between May 28th and June 11th, as laid out in late February.
The new software, version number unknown, contains several updates for the Amazfit smartwatches. These include adding road names to offline maps and the ability to adjust the sensitivity of the automatic detection of Skiing, Snowboarding and Alpine Skiing activities. The Zepp Coach Running Plan has been enhanced, including an update to the onboarding questionnaire. Another new tool allows you to push heart rate measurements collected by the wearables to third-party devices like a cycling computer. Plus, GPS Time Calibration ensures you have accurate data even in a more remote location.
Amazfit advises that, while it has already begun to push the update to many smartwatches, this process could take several days. The company advises Cheetah, Falcon and T-Rex Ultra smartwatch users to check the Zepp Health app periodically for the new software, which is rolling out by device and region. It is unclear exactly when this phased delivery will be complete.
