Lemfofit alleges new Lem 3 smartwatch has ECG certification
Lemfofit has recently shared a press release for its new Lem 3 smartwatch, a relatively cheap model. The company claims that its wearable has a range of advanced health tracking features, which include ECG, non-invasive blood glucose and body temperature monitoring. However, the accuracy of these tools could be clearer.
Lemfofit suggests that the Lem 3 has CFDA certification for its ECG measuring tool, but it has yet to explain what it means here. The company may be referring to the China Food and Drug Administration. However, medical devices should now be certified by the National Medical Product Administration (NMPA), which replaced the CFDA in 2018. For the non-invasive blood glucose monitoring, it is worth noting that the US-based FDA recently released a statement advising against using smartwatches or smart rings to take these measurements.
The Lem 3’s product page indicates that other features of the wearable include blood oxygen saturation and heart rate monitoring. You can use the smartwatch to make Bluetooth calls and track your workouts using various sports modes, and you can control it with a voice assistant. The watch has a 1.92-in (~49 mm) display and five to seven days runtime with typical use. Should you wish to try the Lemfofit Lem 3 smartwatch, you can buy it from the company for the discounted price of $49.99; the product typically retails for $159.99.
