Roborock P10S debuts as new vacuum and mopping robot with improved docking options
Roborock has refreshed the P10 series, roughly five months after releasing the P10 Pro. This time, the company has introduced the P10S and P10S Pro, the latter of which we have covered separately. At any rate, the Roborock P10S comes in two variants distinguished by their dock capabilities. On the one hand, the cheaper option has a conventional dock with water tanks that must be emptied manually. On the other hand, the more expensive variant can be plumbed into a home's water supply, removing the need for removable water tanks.
As a result, the latter has a significantly smaller dock that only needs 41 x 40 cm clearance to fit under a cabinet. According to Roborock's product pages, both variants ship with the same robot vacuum, which delivers 7,000 Pa suction power. In other words, the P10S matches the P10 Pro in this regard, a rating that matches and is approximately 27% more powerful than the P10.

With that being said, the P10S has a considerably smaller plumbed-in dock than the P10 Pro. Moreover, Roborock boasts that the P10S' FlexiArm design provides up to 98.8% room coverage, while its 60°C dynamic mopping system can sterilise 99.9% of bacteria. As far as we can tell, the Roborock P10S is a Chinese exclusive for the time being, as is the P10S Pro.
Nonetheless, Roborock sells robot vacuums globally, meaning that there is every chance that the P10S will eventually be available outside China in some capacity. For reference, the Roborock P10S currently starts at CNY 3,299 (~$458) but will eventually rise to CNY 4,599 (~$639). By contrast, the version with a more advanced docking system costs CNY 3,899 (~$542) and will rise to CNY 5,099 (~$708) next month.
