Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra: New flagship vacuum robot goes on sale in a few days
Roborock used CES 2024 at the beginning of the year to present some new products, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. There was talk of a Q2 2024 sales launch, which is still the case.
Roborock has announced the launch date for the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra on its official website. The new model will be available in stores starting from April 5, 2024. The manufacturer names MediaMarkt and Saturn as sales partners.
It remains unclear exactly how much the new Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra will cost. However, it is likely to be priced above the current top model Roborock S8 Pro Ultra which costs 1,499 euros according to the RRP but has already dropped significantly in price and is currently available on Amazon for 1,295 euros, for example.
The new Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is undoubtedly the manufacturer's best-equipped robot vacuum to date. In addition to all the features of the Pro model, including automatic washing and drying of the mops, DuoRoller brush, and LDS laser navigation, including obstacle avoidance, the new model also boasts a significantly higher suction power of 10,000 Pa.
Even more exciting, however, are new features such as the FlexiArm Design side brush for better corner cleaning and the additional mop for borderless mopping. Here, the manufacturer takes a slightly different approach than with the Roborock Qrevo MaxV (999 euros at MediaMarkt) or the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat (1165 euros at Amazon) with an extendable mop. The new model is also available with an optional fixed water connection.
Our detailed test report on the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra will follow when it goes on sale at the beginning of April.
