Xiaomi has launched the Mijia All-Round Sweeping and Mopping Robot M30 Pro in China. The new model has an unusual stainless steel hair-cutting module at the base to remove strands tangled on the roller brush. Xiaomi says multiple layers of protection are in place to ensure the blade works safely.
The M30 Pro has up to 7,000 Pa suction power and can mop, suitable for an area of up to 240 m² (~2,583 ft²). The robot uses LDS navigation technology, AI night vision with a built-in torch, and a wide-angle camera to navigate your home efficiently. S-Cross AI ensures the vacuum cleaner does not bump into obstacles, and AI dirt recognition can detect dirtier areas and add extra cleaning time as necessary. Plus, you can control the gadget via the Xiaomi app or with Xiao AI voice commands.
The M30 Pro has a self-cleaning docking station, allowing up to 75 days of hands-free cleaning. The base houses a 4L clean water tank to replenish the onboard water supply and remove dust from the robot’s bin with 17,000 Pa suction. Plus, the dock can wash and dry the mop at temperatures up to 60° (~140 °F). The Xiaomi Mijia M30 Pro robot vacuum and mop is now available to pre-order in China for the discounted price of 3,699 yuan (~US$522) with a 100 yuan (~US$14) deposit. After this pre-sale period, the smart home gadget will retail for 4,699 yuan (~US$662). Xiaomi has yet to announce whether or not the model will go on sale in other markets.
