Unlike typical routers, the Aquila Pro M30 smart mesh router from D-link Corporation features an in-built AI algorithm to optimize network performance, WiFi-6E connectivity and compatibility with Matter, Alexa and Google Assistant.

Taiwanese company D-Link has a new addition to its line of smart home routers which have come a long way since the EXO AX5400. Aquila Pro AI is the company's latest offering and an upgrade to the poorly received Eagle Pro AI home WiFi setup.

The Aquila Pro AI M30 smart mesh router has had a complete design revamp that sets it apart from the rest of the D-Link router lineup. Unlike previous offerings from D-Link, the M30 is wall-mounted and boasts of premium aesthetics that will not be out of place in a home's interior déco, or as the centerpiece of a smart home experience.

Similar to the Eagle Pro AI, Aquila Pro AI comes with AI optimizers to automate channel selection, minimize interference and provide stable connectivity. However D-Link boasts that the AI traffic optimizer in the Aquila Pro M30 router will allow uninterrupted 8k video streaming, gaming and video calls. The router comes equipped with a specialized five-antenna array design, a choice between WiFi 6/6E coverage and full compatibility across Matter, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

All Aquila Pro AI models comply with WPA3 encryption, separate guest networks and parental controls for security and child safety. Also, the router leverages WiFi 6 Target Wake Time (TWT) has a 'health mode' that turns the router off automatically at night to reduce power consumption.

Users wanted more speed and reliability from the Eagle Pro AI, and D-Link seems to have addressed many of these challenges in the Aquila Pro AI, which is currently available on Amazon. With the M30's upgraded antenna array, boosted network coverage and up to 3-Gps speeds, D-Link appears to have put its best foot forward.
