The new D-Link EXO AX5400 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router (DIR-X5460) supports speeds of up to 600 megabits per second (Mbps; on the 2.4GHz band) and 4800Mbps (5 GHz). It does so thanks to the latest connectivity features such as OFDMA, 1024-QAM, and multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO). The OEM claims that such specs might improve data flow through a network, bandwidth per user and even individual device battery life within a user's home.
D-Link claims that the EXO AX5400 router can support up to 6 continuous streams of 4K content. Its maker also claims that is rated for "industry-standard mesh" with its own-brand extenders. It also features 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2 USB 2.0/3.0 ports for physical connections or media.
The new router can now be found on Amazon or the D-Link store for US$249.99. Alternatively, it has been released alongside an entry-level variant, the EXO AX1500 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router (DIR-X5160). It is $99.99 on Amazon from now.
