Xiaomi AX1500: New router with four Gigabit Ethernet ports
Xiaomi is launching a new router for fast and reliable WiFi connectivity. This should also be relatively inexpensive and support mesh operation for covering larger apartments or houses.

Xiaomi is a global technology company that no longer just offers smartphones, but also network products. The manufacturer's routers are also available. In Asia, the range is larger and some of the individual models are only launched on the European market with a significant delay, but direct import is a valid option depending on the product category.

The Xiaomi AX1500 is a new router from the manufacturer, which should also impress with a particularly low price. The price in China is currently quoted at just under 17 euros, but information on a launch in Europe is not yet available - usually, the models are only available in this country at a significant surcharge.

The router supports WiFi 6, with a maximum data transfer rate of - as the name suggests - 1,500 Mbps. The Xiaomi AX1500 router can operate in both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, which can not only benefit the data transfer rate but also the quality of the connection in urban environments with overcrowded 2.4 GHz networks. A mesh system can also be established with up to 10 routers and OFDMA is supported.

There are four adaptive Gigabit Ethernet ports on the router itself. Control and monitoring should be particularly convenient via a special app on the smartphone. There are plenty of alternatives available in this country, such as the D-Link DIR-X1560.
