Xiaomi has expanded its Mijia series refrigerator portfolio by launching a new Mijia Refrigerator Moyuyan (which translates to ‘Black Feather Rock’) Edition in China. The company’s new Mijia refrigerator features a generous 513 L capacity, which is further divided into three different compartments, including a 304 L cooling area, a 180 L freezer area, and a separate 29 L adjustable temperature compartment.
You’ll get multiple drawers and trays, plus additional storage space built into the doors for storing beverages, vegetables, fruits, and other food items. There’s also a separate 29 L drawer, which allows you to adjust the temperature range from -1 °C (~30.2 °F) to 5 °C (41 °F). This means you can easily store various food items like meat, seafood, and fresh vegetables at their required temperature.
Xiaomi has used its in-house dual-frequency conversion technology in the cross-door refrigerator, and according to the company, this technology helps a refrigerator to achieve accurate cooling and save energy. The smart gadget is rated as having first-class energy efficiency, consuming around 0.93 kWh of electricity per day.
It can run as quietly as 36 dB, and Xiaomi also packs silver-ion antibacterial technology. The company claims that this technology kills 99.9% of bacteria and safeguards the quality and health of your food. You can also adjust the Mijia Moyuyan Edition refrigerator’s settings with a built-in touchscreen panel, the Mijia app, or Xiao AI voice commands.
The Mijia Refrigerator Moyuyan Edition 513 L is priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly $370) and comes in a Lead Gray color scheme with a rock board texture. The refrigerator is currently available for pre-order on JD.com in China, and the official sale is scheduled for 1st January 2025 at 8 PM.
