LG to reveal new smart laundry solutions with AI features

The LG Signature Washer & Dryer and the 29-inch Signature Washing Machine and Dryer pair are set to be revealed at CES 2025. These products are billed as smart laundry solutions with various AI features.

For example, there is the LG Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive (AI DD) 2.0, which is said to deliver “precise fabric care”. Unfortunately, the company does not provide any further information here. We also know that all three products are fitted with a 7-inch LCD touchscreen, where users can switch between cycles and control other settings. Plus, the inverter heat pump used is said to allow clothes to dry at a lower temperature.

LG has not explicitly stated that this washer dryer, washing machine and dryer will offer app-based controls or support voice commands. However, in the same press release, the company states that it will also show the ThinQ ON AI home hub, which was announced in August. This smart home hub is used to remotely control a wide range of smart home products, which could include these new laundry appliances.

LG will be showing the Signature Washer & Dryer, the Signature Washing Machine and Dryer pair and the ThinQ ON AI home hub at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, which begins on January 7th.
