Xiaomi has finally revealed the official launch date of the Redmi 14C 5G smartphone for India. The new affordable 5G smartphone will debut in India on January 6. It will come as a successor to the budget-friendly Redmi 13C 5G (curr. at $122 on Amazon), which debuted last year. The company has confirmed the display and color options of the Redmi 14C smartphone.
The smartphone will come with a 6.88-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This is a significant upgrade over the Redmi 13C’s 90 Hz display. The panel will also come with TUV Rheinland certification. Xiaomi’s official listing claims that this is one of the most eye-friendly displays in its price segment.
As for the colors, the soon-to-be-launched smartphone will come in three color options: Starlight Blue, Stardust Purple, and Stargaze Black. Moreover, the device will bring dual 5G support, which the predecessor lacks. As confirmed by Xiaomi, the upcoming smartphone will also see an improvement in terms of processor and wireless connectivity.
Other details about the Redmi 14C 5G are still under wraps, but earlier reports revealed that the Redmi 14C will come with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, a 50 MP primary camera, 8 GB of RAM, and a 5,160 mAh battery with 18 W wired charging support.
However, Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the upcoming Redmi 14C 5G pricing. It is expected that the company will price it affordably, as the Redmi 13C smartphone was announced at a starting price of INR 10,999 ($128). What we know is the availability details; Xiaomi will sell the device immediately after the launch via Mi.com, Flipkart, and other authorized retailers.
