Xiaomi has a new notebook in the pipeline in the form of the RedmiBook 16 2025. As the name suggests, the model comes with a screen diagonal of around 16 inches; a detailed review of the 14-inch predecessor is available for those who want some idea of what to expect from the upcoming model in terms of design. To date, Xiaomi has only released a general teaser of the new notebook along with a few details. For example, the battery life is said to be just over 19 hours, which is not all that surprising. In battery tests, the predecessor achieved over 22 hours in video playback at greatly reduced brightness.
The manufacturer states that the RedmiBook 16 2025 will come with the latest Intel processor. Compatibility with HyperOS 2 is advertised, which may mean additional functions or seamless integration with other Xiaomi or Redmi devices for easy file sharing. The image shown so far does not show any real differences between the RedmiBook 16 2024 and the upcoming successor.
The predecessor was equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, a 16-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3,072 x 1,920 and a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. The RedmiBook 16 2025 is scheduled to be unveiled on January 1 together with the Redmi Turbo 4.
