New Xiaomi Poco F7 rumored to feature Snapdragon 8s Elite and 7,000mAh battery

Fresh rumors about the Xiaomi Poco F7 indicate that it could be a relatively powerful smartphone. Based on earlier leaks, this model is expected to be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro.

A report from Sanju Choudhary on X, referencing Digital Chat Station on Weibo, indicates that the Poco F7 will use the Snapdragon 8s Elite. This SoC has yet to be officially announced. However, rumors suggest that it will be an improvement on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, though it will be less powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Plus, the leaker claims that the model will have a 7,000mAh battery, with support for at least 90W charging. No estimates for battery life or charging time have been provided. On top of this, the Poco F7 is expected to feature an LTPS AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution.

Digital Chat Station indicates that the first smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8s Elite will arrive in April 2025, though it is unclear whether this includes the Xiaomi Poco F7. It is worth noting that Digital Chat Station does not reveal their source. It is also unclear where Sanju Choudhary gets the rest of their information. Further details, including the price of this model, have yet to be revealed. As an indication of price, its predecessor, the Poco F6, is currently available at Amazon for $377.
