Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro: 4G refresh leaks with disappointing performance upgrades
Hardly any time has passed since Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 14 series in India, marking its international debut in the process. As we noted at the time, the addition of 5G suffixes for all models implied that Xiaomi eventually planned to offer 4G models, at least outside China.
To that end, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US hinted that a Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G could be in the works. Now, various sources have confirmed that a direct successor to this year's Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G is nearing a full release with a tweaked version of MediaTek's Helio G100 chipset.

Specifically, leaked promotional images confirm the inclusion of the Helio G100 Ultra, which succeeds the Helio G99 Ultra inside the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G (curr. $219.50 on Amazon). Unfortunately, the Helio G100 Ultra features unchanged CPU and GPU hardware. Instead, MediaTek has added support for 200 MP cameras, to which Xiaomi has duly obliged.
Additionally, Xiaomi has complemented this 200 MP primary camera with two other rear-facing sensors and a 32 MP front-facing setup. Moreover, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G finds itself with a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 45 W wired charging and a large curved display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Reportedly, Xiaomi intends to offer the device in three colours but only one memory variant that combines 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of storage. However, it remains to be seen when that will be the case for now.
