The Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G is now available officially outside China for the first time. While hardly any time has passed since Xiaomi released its predecessor globally, the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G brings various upgrades to the table, including a massive 6,200 mAh battery and an optically-stabilised Light Hunter 800 primary camera.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus has now made its international debut alongside the Redmi Note 14 5G and Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. As with those two devices, Xiaomi has added a '5G' suffix to the device's name. While the company has not acknowledged as much yet, the release of the Redmi Note 13 4G and Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G (curr. $219 on Amazon) imply that there could be corresponding 4G versions of the Redmi Note 14 series in the works too, a view that recent leaks support.

As for the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G, it retains all the features of its initial Chinese release, like a 6.67-inch AMOLED display sat within a 162.5 x 74.7 x 8.8 mm housing. For context, this display also outputs at 2,712 x 1,220 pixels, as well as 120 Hz, 3,000 nits and with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Incidentally, the device is IP69 certified against particle and water ingress, unlike the Redmi Note 14 5G or Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.

Moreover, Xiaomi equips the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, along with LPDDR4X/LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 2.2/UFS 3.1 flash storage, depending on the memory configuration chosen. Arguably, a star of the show is the device's 6,200 mAh battery, which it can recharge at 90 W via a wired connection. On top of that, Xiaomi includes 50 MP primary (Light Hunter 800) and telephoto (ISOCELL JN1) cameras, plus 20 MP front-facing (OV20B) and 8 MP (IMX355) ultra-wide-angle cameras.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G will be available from December 13, albeit only in India. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not revealed when the device will reach other markets yet. For reference, the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G comes in Phantom Purple, Spectre Blue and Titan Black colour configurations with the following memory options:

  • 8 GB RAM/128 GB storage - INR 30,999 (~$365)
  • 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage - INR 32,999 (~$389)
  • 12 GB RAM/512 GB storage - INR 35,999 (~$424)
