Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G arrives internationally as upgrade on Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G
The Redmi Note 14 Pro has joined the Redmi Note 14 5G and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G at today's launch event in India. Now re-named the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G on account of a forthcoming 4G variant, the device appears to share all key specifications with the one that Xiaomi has been selling in China since the end of September.
In other words, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G replaces its predecessor with new hardware like a brighter display and a larger battery. Specifically, the new handset is said to deliver up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, compared to 1,800 nits for last year's model. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has swapped the 5,100 mAh battery used in the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G for a 5,500 mAh silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery.

With that being said, the newer device supports 45 W wired charging, which is a downgrade on the 67 W offered by the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G (curr. $289 on Amazon). In other words, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G will likely take a lot longer to recharge than its predecessor. Still, the newer device contains a few noteworthy upgrades, including a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset and a Sony LYT-600 primary camera.
On top of that, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G features a new 20 MP front-facing camera built around an OmniVision OV20B camera; please see our original article for more hardware details. While Xiaomi has not confirmed pricing for all markets yet, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G will start at INR 24,999 (~$295) in India with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device will be available with 256 GB of storage for an INR 2,000 (~$24) surcharge, albeit without losing the option to choose between Ivy Green, Phantom Purple and Titan Black colour options.
