Leaked Moto G15 specs reveal a bigger display and larger battery than the Moto G14
Last month, renders of the Moto G15 appeared in a leak, revealing what the new Motorola budget smartphone looks like. Now, another leak has revealed the full specifications of the device ahead of its launch.
First published by 91Mobiles, the Moto G15 specifications were leaked by Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414 on X). According to the source, the Moto G15 will have a 6.72-inch FHD+ (2400 × 1080) LCD panel. While it is bigger than the 6.5-inch screen of the Moto G14, it still refreshes at 60Hz.

The display has HDR10 support, a 20:9 aspect ratio, an 86.71% screen-to-body ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The leaked renders already revealed the phone will retain the centered punch hole for the front-facing camera.
For the chipset, Motorola will be switching from Unisoc to MediaTek. The processor is the 12nm Helio G81 Extreme which also has Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 cores like the 12nm Unisoc Tiger T616 inside its predecessor. Motorola will release the phone with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage.
For the cameras, the Moto G15 will have a 50MP primary rear camera but replace the 2MP macro camera of the Moto G14 with a 5MP sensor. It will also have an 8MP front-facing camera.
The phone will also get a slight battery boost but slower charging. The Moto G14 has a 5,000mAh battery and support for 15W fast charging (20W fast charging for the Indian version). However, the Moto G14 will pack a 5,200mAh battery, and 18W fast charging.
The phone will have an audio jack, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a fingerprint scanner on the side, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and dual-SIM support. It will also have an IP54 dust and splash resistance rating, and a faux leather finish. The leaked renders have shown the Moto G15 will be available in three colors and should ship with Android 15.
The rumored price tag of €200 (~$211) seems to be an error considering the launch price of its predecessor and the value it offers compared to rival devices like the Galaxy A16 4G. Samsung's budget phone has a 90Hz AMOLED display, a more powerful Helio G99 processor, a 5,000mAh battery that charges at 25W, and support for 6 generations of Android upgrades. It is currently available to buy on Amazon for $182.97.
The Moto G14 was released in August 2023, so the Moto G15 is overdue for arrival. Motorola is yet to announce a release date but rumors say it will be unveiled this month.
