The current Moto G 5G is not yet a year old. However, details of a successor have already emerged online courtesy of 91mobiles and @OnLeaks. Unsurprisingly, the pair expect the new variant to arrive as the Moto G 5G (2025); in recent years, Motorola has only distinguished the names of newer models by a change in their model years.
Although neither 91mobiles and @OnLeaks acknowledge as much, the Moto G 5G (2025) will likely be exclusive to North America. At any rate, next year's release builds on the existing Moto G 5G (curr. $161.16 on Amazon) with a third rear-facing camera and a larger camera housing to match. Unfortunately, what lies beneath this third camera lens.
Nonetheless, 91mobiles and @OnLeaks assert that the Moto G 5G (2025) will be a tad taller and wider than its predecessor. Specifically, the former is said to span 167.2 x 76.4 x 8.17 mm, or 9.6 mm with its camera housing factored in. In other words, the Moto G 5G (2025) will be 2.8 mm taller and 1.4 mm wider than this year's model with a 0.03 mm thinner housing. Presumably, Motorola will officially present the Moto G 5G (2025) in early spring 2025.
