Xiaomi reveals camera highlights of Redmi K80 Pro
Xiaomi is holding a relatively big launch event in China on November 27, through which the company will launch many products under its sub-brand. The Redmi K80 series is the main highlight, and through recent teasers, the company has already revealed a good number of specs of the K80 Pro.
Now, with the latest round of teasers, Xiaomi has revealed the camera highlights of the Redmi K80 Pro. As one of the teasers details, the back of the Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship has a triple-camera setup. This configuration has a 50 MP primary camera, which is the Light Hunter 800 sensor with OIS.
Redmi K80 Pro's primary camera is paired with the same "floating telephoto" sensor that the Xiaomi 15 features. It's also a 50 MP sensor with OIS, but it can offer 2.5x optical zoom instead of the 3x zoom found in Xiaomi's recently released flagship. As for the third, it's a 32 MP ultrawide with a 120-degree field-of-view.
The company adds that the Redmi K80 Pro features the Xiaomi AISP 2.0, touted to be the most powerful imaging algorithm from the brand. It integrates four major models and promises to deliver detail-rich photos.
To showcase what the camera setup of the Redmi K80 Pro is capable of capturing, Xiaomi has shared two close-up telephoto shots. These samples show rich details with good color outputs.
Overall, the camera setup of the K80 Pro appears to be a proper upgrade from the predecessor. While Xiaomi hasn't revealed details about the front camera yet, it's expected to be a 20 MP OV20B sensor, which would also be an upgrade. Other confirmed specs of the phone include a 6,000 mAh battery, 2K display, 50W wireless charging, and 120W wired fast charging (Anker 737 GaNPrime curr. $53.40 on Amazon).
